Gregg J. MacInnis, Owner/President

Mr. MacInnis is a knowledgeable and experienced veteran of the retirement, insurance and financial planning industries.  Having worked in these industries for well over two decades, he is now currently licensed in ten states.  Gregg has a strong belief in serving the client and strives to ensure that the interest of the client is his number one priority.

Gregg J. MacInnis joined Cherry Financial Partners in January 2014 as a Regional VP.  By October 2014, Gregg opened his own office as President/CEO of Gmac Family Financial.  As an avid runner, marathon participant and certified running coach, his running nickname has always been “Gmac”.

His passion for running goes all the way back to his high school years in Swartz Creek Michigan.  His continued training has helped him to incorporate his running passion into his desire to help his clients successfully plan for their future.  Gmac’s tag line is The road to your financial future for a reason.  To begin a financial plan requires that it be taken in segments and at a steady and safe pace as Gmac builds up in all the areas of planning that the client needs.

Gregg’s career was kicked started as far back as high school, where he began a long career in the hotel industry.  He climbed his way through the ranks from busboy to waiter while in high school and through his attendance at the University of Michigan for 4 years while studying biology.  His work took him down to Dallas, Texas in 1985 where he met his wife Janet and married her in 1988. Gregg continued in the hotel industry, advancing to managerial rolls in the restaurant and room service areas.  These positions left him with one prominent realization – that customer service was paramount and that he wanted to dedicate his career to it.

In 1989 Gregg switched gears and took on a sales rep position in the insurance industry.  Five years later he was hired to help launch a new company, Puritan Financial Services.  Success was inevitable for this new company, as twenty years later, with Mr. MacInnis hard work and dedication, PFS became a multi-million dollar company.  Equipped with the tools and experience learned over those two plus decades, he was prepared to go out on his own and launch his very own financial firm.

Just as important to Gregg as his clients and superior customer service, Gregg is also very dedicated to his family, wife Janet, their two twin daughters, Rachel and Amber, and son, Mitchell.  They have resided in Rowlett, Texas for the last seventeen years.  In addition to running, Gregg also enjoys hunting with his father and brother back in Michigan.  Gregg is a strong Christian that is very active in their church, Lake Ridge Bible Church of Mesquite, TX, where they have attended since 1988.

Being involved in his community brings Gregg much joy.  He enjoys giving of his time and talents to organizations such as the Rowlett Lions Club, the Rowlett Chamber of Commerce as one of their Ambassadors, Leadership Rowlett as a member of Class 24 (2014-2015), Kids Beach Club (a ministry based out of his church) where Gregg offers leadership and shares the word of God with young children from a local public elementary school in Mesquite, TX.

To summarize:  Gregg was born to serve and he will give you his best, no matter what realm of life you are in.

Greg Rankin, Financial Consultant

Mr. Rankin comes to Gmac Family Financial with almost three decades in corporate America primarily focused on I.T. for the financial industry. Wanting to make a difference for those at an individual level he became licensed in 2016. This allows Greg to serve the client and help them create a retirement plan that is in their best interest.

Greg came to know Gregg through running, a passion for them both. In God's timing, he brought them together at a business level to better serve the part of Texas surrounding and including Rowlett. Through Greg's marathon training he has seen how you must take things in small pieces to accomplish the larger goal of running the race. He looks forward to bringing that background and experience to the client while creating a plan for them that will be in small segments that will allow them to reach their overall retirement goals.

While Greg's primary focus was in the technology areas during his 27 years in corporate America but he spent a number of years dealing with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and being a direct contact with many financial institutions making sure they were up to date on how FCRA worked.

Greg started his working career at a grocery store working his way from a sacker to the management training program during high school learning that his success was linked to his ability to make sure the customer was able to have their needs met. This is something that has stayed with him throughout his entire career.

In 1984 Greg went to college and while he did not get his degree until 2010 it was a good thing as it helped him understand that things happen in God's time and helped him to be more patient and able to better see the big picture for those he is serving.

In Summary: Greg has been put here in God's time to be available to help you see what makes the most since for you financially. This comes through education around not just retirement but also life as he has many years of life experience as well as the resources afforded by working here at Gmac Family Financial. He looks forward to serving the community for many years to come.

Debbie Timberlake, Financial Education Consultant

With almost 40 years of experience in banking, account management, domestic and international sales and marketing, Debbie Timberlake joined the Gmac Family, assuming responsibility for the Empowering Women Program.

Her multifaceted experience as a bilingual professional combined with her own life experiences as a mother and home-schooling educator provide valuable insights as she relates to women both in the workplace and at home.  Her passion for service is evident in the way she gives herself to care for others, and her experience as a trainer allows her to communicate important concepts in both English and Spanish.

While working in Banking, she witnessed how many women were ill prepared to make financial decisions, either due to lack of knowledge or cultural and traditional roles whereby women had a passive role in handling the finances.  This, she observed, often placed women and their families in difficult situations.   She endeavored to continue to educate herself.

Today, with research showing that 90 percent of women will be solely responsible for their financial situation at some point in their lives, Debbie is passionate about empowering other women to face these challenges.  She believes that women of all ages, regardless of marital status, should be well educated to make solid financial decisions, which will benefit them as individuals and their families.
